The ‘Save River Rwizi Marathon‘ that is slated for 30th July, this year is gaining alot of momentum after local leaders massively embraced the move, they say the move is timely to save the human race.
The chairman committee organizing this marathon Mr Seth Murali says “before nature turns violet, creating unliked situations in our surrounding environment, lets all care about our actions and perceptions towards those committing efforts to conserve the environment.”
River Rwizi has been one of the main source of water for the people of Ankole, thus the efforts into ‘Save R.Rwizi Campaign’.
Murari says as citizens, Ugandans have a duty to protect the source of their waters that enable that give them life.
“R.Rwizi is one of those that should be protected from the eminent danger, let’s all gather in mbarara on 30/07/2033 and participate in this marathon,” says Murari.
