Before we officially kick it off, let’s first inform you that Mityana residents are praising and worshiping HE Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, not because they expect anything from him but thanking him for giving them Ms Mwanjuzi Prossy as their Deputy Resident District Commissioner (D/RDC).
The tireless RDC shocked patients when she jumped out of her warmest bed in the middle of the night of 1st June 2023 and bumped into the Mityana Hospital to supervise service delivery in this hospital.
According to a source in Mwanjuzi’s office, madam D/RDC had for the last couple of days received complaints from various patients about poor service delivery and absenteeism of medical staff at this hospital.
”You know D/RDC Mwanjuzi is someone who is ever busy, today she is called to resolve land conflicts in Sekanyonyi, there other day she is in Kikandwa, that day she is in Kakindu…I mean she is always on the ground serving Ugandans but one day she decided to sit in the office and get feedback from the people she serves and to our shock dozens flocked to her office all complaining about the hell happening at Mityana hospital, especially at night. So that’s how she came up with the idea of visiting this hospital,” said a source on condition of anonymity.
‘Pregnant Kawukumi At The Hospital’
On 1st June 2023, D/RDC Mwanjuzi decided to spend a night out of her bed for the sake of innocent Ugandans suffering on the floors of Mityana Hospital. When she arrived at the hospital premises at around 11pm she first rushed to various departments to check health workers available only to find one nurse known as Namatovu Oliver in the Emergency Unit who was found helplessly looking at a patient who had got an accident. ”The nurse I found in the emergency department was looking so helpless and confused as the patient was bleeding heavily, when I asked her why she was just looking instead of giving medical care to the patient she told me the one supposed to stitch the patient had already left meaning the patient was to be worked on the next day, and of course based on how he was bleeding he couldn’t make it to the next day,” says Mwanjuzi.
As a mother, the D/RDC says couldn’t leave this patient in such a situation. ”I asked the relatives of the patient to buy gloves and gauze then I myself put on the medical court and started working on this patient and I was able to arrest the bleeding.”
And in defense, acting medical superintendent a one Timothy Ssentamu said that D/RDC found the nurse writing notes in the book before she attends to the emergency patient.
”Those workers who were not at work by the time D/RDC made the visit they had gone for a short call, then the bleeding patient was not an emergency but even the nurse was writing notes in the book and she couldn’t leave the work she was doing to attend to the patient,” Dr Timothy is quoted defending himself and the merciless staff before D/RDC Mwanjuzi who has since vowed to escalate the matters to Ministry of Health’ Permanent Secretary Diana Atwiine since the hospital officials say Ms Mwanjuzi is just fighting them for no good reason.
From the emergency department, Mwanjuzi proceeded to other Units where she landed on another patient, a young girl from Bulera Subcounty who had spent a week rotting in this hospital at the hands of careless and ruthless medical workers.
According to Madam D/RDC, this young girl while playing at home got an injury and was rushed to Mityana hospital but ever since he was brought no serious medical care had ever been given to him.
”I was left shocked and wondering how ruthless people in this hospital are; There is a young patient I found had spent a week in this hospital rotting and when I grilled the hospital’s acting medical superintendent a one Timothy Ssentamu said that they were going to first treat an infection then after treat what and then check what what what…but why narrate stories when the patient is rotting in your eyes? I mean you just see a careless medical worker enjoying a government salary when innocent people are suffering his hands,” furious Mwanjuzi spitted venom.
She adds that even when interacted with other patients in this hospital, they briefed her that the young girl who was rotting is one among the many who are helplessly suffering in silence in this hospital.
”The nurses and doctors here are like lions, you sleep in this ward full week without any assistance from them. And when you feel so pressed and attempt to ask them to come and treat you, they see you as a rebel, so for they prefer seeing us here suffering but don’t dare complain otherwise you will be kicked out of the hospital,” one patient cried to Ms Mwanjuzi.

Ms Mwanjuzi says can’t keep watching as government workers continue to make Ugandans suffer. She says she has opened war on all government workers in Mityana including Mityana hospital staff.
”You see our government’s support is being reduced by these heartless public servants. Now you can’t convince me that such patients suffering at Mityana Hospital can support this government in the coming elections. So am now starting a real war against these mafias to ensure that wanainchis in Mityana get good services. Just watch the space and wait for what happens next!” vowed Ms Mwanjuzi, a determined Museveni’s blue-eyed girl
She says that she is launching a serious supervision of public servants and monitoring government programs in Mityana to make sure that all citizens benefit something she believes will boost NRM and Museveni’s support in the next general elections.
I am now working tirelessly to make sure that people who had lost interest in NRM can gain hope and support it again because in 2026 I want a 100% win for my beloved President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.

Meanwhile, patients at Mityana Hospital were left in awwee mode praising Ms Mwanjuzi as their ‘savior’ who had come to their rescue.
A one Rosemary Namutebi commended Ms Mwanjuzi for sparing time to check on them in the hospital adding that at most times they have been suffering and had no one to report their concerns to as most leaders don’t care.
”If all servants were coming to ground as our D/RDC does, then this country would be very far. You can imagine all this night the whole D/RDC is not sleeping she is here with us,” said Namutebi.
Nakintu Margret from Bulera Sub-county, Mityana North reported to D/RDC that nurses at Mityana Hospital have made a lot of riches from patients by sending them to buy medicine among other things from clinics and even when they buy them they don’t use them meaning they are sold by nurses to other patients.
For Ssekabira Robert, D/RDC Mwanjuzi is the most hardworking person Mityana has ever had. ”Most of our previous RDCs have always been money minded, if you don’t have pesa, expect no help but Ms Mwanjuzi is down to earth and guarantees full-time to people, am so hopeful that Mityana is going to benefit a lot,” said Ssekabira adding that;
”…we highly thank HE. Museveni for appointing Ms Mwanjuzi and actually we pray he promotes her to full RDC or even Minister or any other top government position because if she can serve like this at this level what if she is on top?”
Not only the above praised Mwanjuzi, Sseguya Ahmed said Mwanjuzi is a committed and patriotic D/RDC who serves with one heart and that’s why she can’t sit in the office and keep watching as things go in the wrong direction.
Sseguya said that he used to watch Ms Mwanjuzi when she was still in Mbale arresting corrupt government officials at immigration offices and he belies that since she is in Mityana many things are going to be sorted.
