Former Rubaga South Member of Parliament, Kato Lubwama, has tragically passed away. The Ugandan comedian’s death was attributed to a heart attack from his long-standing heart condition.
On June 7, at Stana Medical Centre in Bunamwaya, Lubwama succumbed to complications related to his ailment, according to family sources.
The news of Lubwama’s demise was initially shared by Andrew Mukasa, known as Bajjo Events, a business associate and promoter.
Lubwama gained recognition as a talented comedian and actor, captivating audiences with his performances.
His contributions to the arts extended beyond comedy, as he was a playwright and founder of Diamonds Ensemble.
Lubwama later transitioned to radio and became well-known for his work on CBS FM Kalisoliso program, where he formed a successful partnership with fellow actors Abby Mukiibi and Patrick Mujuuka.
In 2016, he ventured into politics and was elected as a member of parliament for the Rubaga South constituency.
The news of his untimely death has left a blank in the hearts of many who admired his talent and charisma.
