Hundreds Of Children Turn Up As RDC Pakwach Launches Yellow Fever Vaccination

Today the Resident District Commissioner for Pakwach Mr. Eseru Paul accompanied by District Health Officer (DHO) Dr. Paul Ajal and his health team launched the Yellow Fever Vaccination Exercise in Pakwach public primary school in Pakwach Town Council. 

According to Mr. Eseru, the district is highly prepared to kick-start the vaccination exercise, and the exercise is to be conducted as planned. 

”By lunchtime, a vaccination point in Amor West had vaccinated over 360 people majorly teens at ages between 5-15 years,” said Mr Eseru adding that in Jumedi East, over 500 had already gotten their vaccine by lunch time.

He says the plan is to vaccinate over 400 people per vaccination point. ”We are very optimistic by close of business we shall have vaccinated over and above our target. ”

Mr Eseru added that the turn-up in most of the vaccination points has been very good and by tomorrow, the numbers will double.  

”We want by Tuesday next week to have hit our district target of 203,677 people,” added Mr Eseru.
