22nd June 2023 was the end of 40 days for a con man who has been conning people in Mityana under the name of Deputy Resident City Commissioner (RDCC) for Fort Portal City-Central Division, Mr. Emmanuel Businge.
According to Mityana Deputy RDC Ms Prossy Mwanjuzi, this impersonator has been going around promising locals heaven and earth of course with the intention of conning them.
The 40 days came to an end when a one Mubiru approached DRDC Mwanjuzi’s office on Thursday seeking to know more about this conman before they seal a land deal.
”This guy has been conning people here in Mityana. Today a certain man called Mubiru came saying wanted to seal a land deal with some who claims to be working with me and is also a D/RCC. A few minutes LATER, that person (impersonator) came and introduced himself to me as D/RCC Emmanuel Businge not knowing that I personally know Businge so I had to immediately order my security team to net him,” said D/RDC Mwanjuzi, one of the few public servants committed to flash out kawukumi from HE Yoweri Museveni’s government by dealing with such conmen.
Mwanjuzi says that D/RCC Businge had already lodged a case against this conman.
”I want to warn fraudsters and con men to stop using people’s names to play their dirty deals. What they should know most government workers know themselves, when we go to Kyankwanzi we don’t go there to sleep but unite and associate with our fellows that serve from other parts of the country,” cautioned Mwanjuzi.
Hardworking muzzukulu after arresting this conman, rushed to Ssekanyonyi Health Center IV for monitoring and support supervision.
