We are still delving into the character of President Museveni, pertaining to statesmanship;
Majority of African states, are still mastering the nomenclature of Western democracies. Museveni being a wise leader, uses the art of political symmetry to lead the masses towards a defined goal. How? He will systematically create many agencies in line with stipulated laws, which majorly serves the same function.
The above is good in aiding efficiency and competence for individuals who can perform as well expose those who are gifted in mediocrity. For instance in NRM, you have ONC Kyambogo, the NRM Secretariat, Ntinda Professional Vanguards, Bugolobi Ideological Center (BIC), etc. All these are very good because they advance ideals of nation building and movement matrix for the next 50 years.
In the world of nation building, the sovereignty of the masses ever remains the supreme law, provided it’s diametrical formation, serves the interests of the super structure. In Uganda, there are so many political practitioners, FDC, NUP etc who will never join NRM, but will always vote for Museveni when a presidential election takes course. These democrats will patriotically as well ensure that any one in the opposition who plans an insurrection or the down fall of Museveni is fought viciously and immensely weakened by all synchronized means possible. The point in this is self evident. Museveni as a great leader is not necessarily a multi-partist. He is fundamentally an African freedom fighter who cherishes unity in diversity without institutional segregation.
In ancient warfare, enemy preemption was harnessed through the art of reconnaissance. This principle of course still stands the test of time. Museveni being a heroic fighter, since FRONASA days, executes well the method of protracted warfare which deals with the encircling of the enemy process by process. Why then, did so many combat groups like UNLA, UFM, FOBA, etc grossly fail? It’s simply because they dwelt on urban warfare with a syntax of just crying for power with no logical justification contrary to the patriotic NRA/UPDF whose military prefecture has golden roots, well embedded in the structures of the citizenry living in the country side and the cities therein.
