Football supporters in Kabula County, Lyantonde District are amused by the heartfelt support of their hopeful next Woman Member of Parliament Ms. Doreen Katushabe who has already deposited Ugx5m to help their team in the battle for Masaza Cup.
Over the weekend, Kabula County suffered a 1_0 loss against Mawogola County, which triggered the team management committee to re-evaluate how they can motivate the players and it’s from this background that Ms Katushabe decided to financially support the team.
Ms Katushabe believes that one of the reasons why other teams are scooping good results is because they receive mighty support from the fans which Kabula lacks.
”All of you here I want to assure you, am a woman of actions just like any other visionary leader. When I studied the barriers to our team’s success, I realized that we are not feeding it enough support. Therefore, am depositing this Ugx5m to help our team oust our opponents and win this tournament,” said Ms Katushabe.
The Kabaka’s Chief in Kabula County, Mr. David Luyimbazi (Lumama), praised Ms Katushabe for her support before urging all stakeholders to pick a leaf from her and start to assist the team morally, financially, and emotionally which he believes will boost the players’ morale.
”For us, we welcome those who come to us, and Katushabe is here as a resident. Please welcome her and listen to her views,” said Mr Luyimbazi.
The Kabula County team chairman, Rev. Fr. Pascal Sewalu confirmed that they have already received the funds from Katushabe and poured blessings onto her for financially bailing them out.
“We are grateful for the support from all members of the community and we encourage more members to do the same,” he stated.
