‘We’re Tired Of This Hooliganism, Stop Funding Odinga Or Else We Shall Send You To Hell”-Frustrated Ruto Warns Uhuru Over Deadly Protests

By Our Reporter

President William Ruto has accused his predecessor Uhuru Kenyatta of funding the violent anti-government protests.

Speaking in Mai Mahiu, Ruto claimed Uhuru was funding Mungiki youths to cause chaos during Azimio la Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party protests.

The president warned that he might take action against Uhuru if the demonstrations continued.

Ruto asked the former president to be a gentleman, arguing that they supported him when he was at the helm of the country’s leadership.

The head of state called on Uhuru to stop associating himself with the ODM leader Raila Odinga, whom he vowed to confine to his rural home.

“I also want to ask my friend Uhuru to get away from that Mzee (Raila). Stop giving him money to hire Mungiki to destroy Nairobi. You were a president, be a gentleman. We helped you when you were the president. If you don’t dissociate from him, we shall also send you away, just like the riddle man,” said Ruto.

Earlier, the president vowed not to condone the opposition in its new resolve to undertake anti-government protests.

The president’s proclamation came moments after Azimio issued a statement announcing the mass action demonstrations would continue for three days between Wednesday and Friday next week.

Referencing previous administrations, Ruto swore he would not allow Raila to ride on violence into government.

The president also ruled out any possibility of a truce that would lead to a power-sharing arrangement with Raila.

“Raila Odinga, I won’t allow you to seek power on the back of the blood of Kenyans. I will stop you. You can’t use extra-constitutional means to get power. You want to use violence to get into government; it won’t happen,” he said.

Ruto implied that Raila was part of the problem ailing Kenya today and that he would no longer be allowed to continue troubling the current administration.

President Ruto is right.
Former president Uhuru was supported during his presidency. He should be the one to condemn violence in the country. He should not ally with Raila.
Raila should also stop causing chaos. Bloodshed is not good . Interruptions of business not good.
Let peace prevail in Kenya.
