Entebbe- Kenya’s former president Uhuru Kenyatta was yesterday spotted at State House Entebbe in Uganda for a visit.
According to our sources, Uhuru called on Museveni in his capacity as the facilitator of the EAC – led Nairobi Peace Process.
The meeting has been confirmed by Uhuru’s office stating that the duo deliberated on the security state of the East African Community (EAC) region and the peace efforts in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
“Besides the security situation in the East African Community (EAC) region, the two leaders deliberated on the ongoing Peace Processes geared towards the realization of a lasting peace and stability in the eastern part of the Democratic Republic of Congo,” Uhuru’s office said.

Besides work, the families of Museveni and Uhuru seem to have friendly ties.
While still in office, Uhuru would host the Ugandan leader’s eldest son Gen Muhoozi Kainerubaga at State House, Nairobi.
During their meetings, the state house’s official communication would report that their discussions centred on several bilateral and multilateral issues of interest to Nairobi and Kampala.
They would also discuss the restoration of peace in the eastern parts of the DRC.
On his part, Muhoozi would always pledge allegiance.
Often times he said that he would “side with Uhuru no matter what happens”, referring to the former president as his elder brother.
The rabble-rouser Museveni’s son regards Uhuru’s grandfather as a ‘Omukama Kabalega’, one of Ugandan’s greatest kings.
“His grandfather was Omukama Kabalega. One of our greatest kings. Blood relations link Uganda and Kenya,” he added
In early 2022, Muhoozi, at Uhuru’s invitation, graced the inauguration of the Inland Container Depot in Naivasha, Nakuru county.
