Victoria University has made things easy for partiers and music fans who are already warming up to fill Kololo Airstrip on 15th September 2023 and be judges on who is who between rival artists; Sheebah Karungi aka the ‘Queen’ and Cindy Sanyu aka the ‘King herself’.

The University which is the organizer of this musical battle, has sealed a deal with Airtel Uganda that will see tickets conveniently sold via Airtel money without any single cost charged against the buyers.

Through the above way, all you need to do is to pick up your phone; don’t mind whether it’s an iPhone or Nokia, dial *185*9#, then enter merchant code: 4357947, and immediately after this process a battle ticket will be in your hands.

Tickets for this battle are in different categories. Ordinary goes for Ugx30k, Ugx100k for VIP, and Ugx3m for a table.

Meanwhile, Ugandans are already in excitement mode counting days to witness two rival ‘music lions’ on the same stage something many had yearned for a long, thanks to Victoria University’s magic that saw Uganda’s finest music stars finally accepting to step on the same stage.

During a press conference held last month at Victoria University, along Jinja Road, Vice Chancellor Prof.  Lawrence Muganga announced that they are staging the duo as one of the ways they can ‘future-proof education through art.’

“As an institution deeply committed to advancing our nation, we see the immense potential in harnessing the energy exhibited by these exceptional artists into a meaningful and constructive direction for the country. This foundation has inspired us to challenge Queen Sheebah Karungi and ‘The King Herself’ Cindy Sanyu to engage in a productive musical battle, especially in light of recent media discussions,” noted Muganga adding;

“Each of the Artists was contacted individually, after what we saw in the media. Each of them, on their own terms, has accepted the challenge. “The Musical Battle will be held on September 15, 2023, at Kololo Airstrip. This will then be considered the Yolo Festival.” We meet at Kololo on 15th September!
