Reports coming in from Mbale City reveal that l the City Land Commission is allegedly conniving with untouchables in government to grab the helpless wanainchis’ land.
It is alleged that the Commission connived with a one woman claiming to be General Salim Saleh’s wife to grab a land belonging a city pastor David Mugalu.
It is said that the land behind Mbale City Council Head Offices has been under the ownership of Pastor Mugalu’s Jehovah Healing Center Church for over 10years.
“This land is forcefully being allocated to some one claiming to be General Salim Saleh’s wife. But the game is that city officials want to share part of it among themselves.
“The Lands Office is now using powerful people to grab land from Mbale people, this has happened to many people in the City. People are hear crying helplessly. We kindly ask concerned agencies to intervene and save the poor Ugandans who are already victims of these ruthless mafias,” claimed a source on condition of anonymity.
Meanwhile, reports have it that after public outcry and calls to the president to intervene, he ordered the Anti-Corruption Unit to immediately investigate the matter and arrest those involved in this scandal.
“These scandals have made the NRM government lose support in Mbale. As I speak now many people are homeless, people with their property are tortured and left with nothing by corrupt and selfish technocrats in Mbale city,” added the furious source.
