Must Watch: Video Shows New Method Thieves Are Using To Vandalise Car Parts: “They Have No Hearts”

By Frank Kamuntu

Every car owner understands the struggle and financial pain of replacing even the most minor parts, like side mirrors and lights.

Unfortunately, most insurance covers only compensate a vehicle that was stolen as a whole, not parts of it.

Thieves Target Fast-Moving Parts

As car owners grapple with security, thieves continue devising new ways to knick parts out of vehicles, as shown by a recent video.

The disturbing video shared by automobil_poacher has shed light on a new and alarming method employed by miscreants to vandalize car parts.

According to the footage, the thieves execute a sophisticated technique to target vehicles with fast-moving spares.

The clip begins with a seemingly sound and well-locked vehicle until one notices that the driver’s door is bent.

Electricals Stolen

Once the door is tampered with, parts of the car’s dashboard, power window switches, and other peripherals are pulled out.

The idea is for the thieves to operate from inside the vehicle to avoid drawing attention from the public.

Once done, they lock the doors and exit the scene, only for the car owners to be shocked when they return.

Experiences with car theft

The efficiency and precision exhibited in the vandalism have worried many car owners, with many sharing their experiences.

“Some guys on a bike almost did the same for my 2014 RAV4 limited today. He was stealing the side mirror; fortunately, we were seated outside having dinner and spotted him.”

Unemployedbozz: “This same thing happened to my dad’s Corolla just last month. They took the Brain Box and power windows for both front doors.”

7_speed._: “That’s a mechanic’s job. And they may still sell the stolen part back to the owner if he goes out to their garage looking for it.”
