Mityana acting RDC who doubles as the Deputy RDC, Ms Prossy Mwanjuzi says the government of her boss President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni will never tolerate citizens with behaviors that don’t fit in the society.
She made the remarks responding to the area Member of Parliament Hon Francis Zaake who reported to Archbishop Dr Stephen Samuel Kaziimba Mugalu during his pastoral visit in Mityana that he is living a peaceless life, accusing the government of torturing him.
In response, Mwanjuzi grilled him,”Has the government ever told you to go abusing people like Hon Juliet Kyinyamatama your fellow MP, break microphones and step on parliament tables? What kind of manners are these?”
Mwanjuzi further fumed venom to Zaake informing him that President Museveni fought for the peace of all Ugandans and therefore will never tolerate anyone that violates the peace of his bazzukulu.
”For your information, Hon Zaake, President Museveni spent 5 years in the bush fighting for the peace of you & I and the entire citizenry, don’t expect the same government to pamper you as you practice your rotten behaviours that violate our peace, in fact, don’t blame Museveni, blame your sick behaviours,” Mwanjuzi ‘lectured’ Zaake.
She used the same opportunity to rally Mityana people not to send ”comical leaders” to Parliament come 2026 saying that the district is lagging behind due to poor leadership. These words triggered Zaake to take off, which left the wanainchi praising Mwanjuzi for defending the good government of President Museveni.
These came at a time when Zaake is being grilled by the parliament’s rules, privileges, and discipline committee over alleged derogatory remarks towards Rakai district Woman MP, Juliet Kyinyamatama and this is the third time he has been in trouble over indiscipline.
Mwanjuzi said that so long as she is still the D/RDC of Mityana, no one will be allowed to taint the image of President Museveni and that of the NRM government.
On the issue of abducting opposition supporters, the Minister of Lands Hon Judith Nabakooba said that the government is willing to start investigating this matter but requested the opposition to provide information about those abducted.
