“Revolutionaries Don’t Quit, Warm Up To Welcome Museveni In 2026”-Namyalo ‘Preaches’ In Bushenyi

By Frank Kamuntu

The head of the Office of the National Chairman (ONC) Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo has trashed baseless rumors about the retirement of HE.Yoweri Kaguta Museveni noting that revolutionaries never quit.

Namyalo made the remarks at the Youth Day celebrations held at Kizinda Playground in Ishaka-Bushenyi where she was welcomed by a magnitude of bazzukulu from various districts of Western Uganda.

At this event, Namyalo noted that some confused people have been diverting Museveni’s support with claims that the ‘man with hat’ will be stepping down any time soon something she said is very untrue and should not be given attention.

“Before I say anything, I have come here to tell you that our dear president Yoweri Museveni is just preparing himself and warming up for 2026 elections, let no one confuse you that he is soon retiring, that’s pokopoko that you should trash to the nearest dustbin,” Namyalo ‘roared’.

She said that currently her office is on the mission of transforming all the bazzukulu especially the youths, economically through giving them empowerment tools with an aim of fighting poverty out of the millions of homesteads in Uganda.

“We have traversed various districts and today we are here in Bushenyi. Thanks for welcoming us but be informed that all these you see here [referring to empowerment tools] are yours. Museveni wants all his bazzukulu to be economically stable,” said Namyalo before she urged them to use them genuinely and effectively so as to achieve the intended goal of ending poverty among Ugandans.

At the same event, area Woman Member of Parliament, Hon Annet Katusiime Mugisha reported to Namyalo that farmers in Bushenyi are facing the challenge of low tea prices.

Responding to the above, Namyalo noted that this is a general problem that also hinders people in Mityana district noting that despite being one of the major cash crops the country is proud of, farmers earn almost nothing from it.

“Am sure some mafias must be behind this issue of low prices of tea, because you can’t be crying like this yet this is a major cash crop Ugandans should be benefiting from. Therefore, i request you to add your voice to that of people of Mityana and we petition out Jajja. I know he will intervene immediately he gets to know about this,” noted Namyalo.

Further, Hon Annet thanked Namyalo for grooming leaders noting that several youths in Bushenyi have since turned into capable leaders after she appointed them as coordinators.

“We as women and youths in Bushenyi we are so much happy to tell you that your works are unique and sincerely you have breathed fresh air in NRM and we can now feel the vibe that we have been missing for decades,” noted Hon Annet before asking Namyalo to lobby for the youths an incubator to boost their poultry farming.

On the above matter, Namyalo said she will fight hard to source it for them citing that HE.Museveni who knows how people of Bushenyi support him especially the youths, can’t fail to buy it for them.

She later donated to various groups tools that included sawing machines, pop corn machines, fertilizers, spraying machines, among others.

Meanwhile, before all the above, the ONC team led by the Assistant Communications Officer, Mr Kintu Moses distributed the Bazzukulu Paper to boda boda riders, market vendors, students at KIU Ishaka-Bushenyi campus, among other groups.
