Buganda Kingdom Raises Ugx172m To Construct Nkozi Hospital An Accident & Trauma Centre

The Buganda Kingdom has challenged the government to increase funds allocated to the health sector, allowing health workers to carry out their duties effectively.

Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga appealed while presenting a UGX 172 million cheque from the Kingdom to Nkozi Hospital for the construction of an accident and trauma center.

The trauma centre at Nkozi Hospital will cost approximately shs2.8billion and the equipment will cost worth shs1.6billion.

Nkozi hospital is a privately owned community hospital that was equipped to serve Nkozi town and its surrounding areas of Mawokota County which is located in Mpigi district.

The hospital is located about 85 kilometres on Kampala – Masaka road.

The construction of this trauma infrastructure began in 2016 as a capability from the friends and administration of Nkozi Hospital.
