It was pomp and glamour in Jinja City on Thursday where Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo-the head of Office of National Chairman (ONC) spent full day socializing with HE Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s bazzukulu who gathered in thousands at Kakindu stadium to enjoy finals of Liberation Day Cup.
The competitions that were launched last week by Namyalo her self in accompany of the National Coordinator In Charge of Games and Sports, Mr. Seth Murari have run for five days [from 20th-25th).
These competitions were scooped by Katende FC (women’s team) and Mukalu FC (men’s team). Each team was awarded a fat bull and a juicy parcel that were handed over to captains of each team by Namyalo.
Officiating the closure of these competitions, Namyalo urged youths to stop using drugs and cautioned them to abstain or use condoms noting that HIV is a big threat in Busoga Sub-region.
“My fellow bazzukulu kindly take this message in good faith, I know you pass through a lot that may force you to use drugs to curb stress but please this is not a solution, let’s change our mindset and put our focus on working to develop ourselves and our families. Infact, some of you are being used by the ruthless politicians to push their selfish interests…don’t be hoodwinked, Jajja Museveni still loves you and will never forget his youths in ghetto,” Namyalo told a mammoth of bazzukulu at Kakindu stadium.
Immediately after Namyalo awarding the teams, several musicians got on the stage to thrill bazzukulu with baddest jams.
Among the artists that boosted vibes at this event include Ziza Bafana, Alien Skin, Gravity Omutujju, Jovan Luzinda among other local artists.
Before all the above, Hajjat Namyalo was hosted at Busoga Sub-region’s biggest radio station Baba FM where she preached social economic transformation urging youth to use the peace brought by President Museveni to work hard and elevate their families from the deadly poverty that has rocked the region for years.
Namyalo also didn’t spare the political mafias in government who fail government programs saying wanainchi should expose such ‘parasites’ so that appointing authority can deal with them harshly.
“You all know our Jajja has no space for ‘parasites’ failing our programs. I hear some of you didn’t get PDM funds and Emyooga benefited just few, where did that money go? These are questions your leaders should answer!” Namyalo told listeners via BaBa FM.
The Chief Muzzukulu also informed basoga that she will expose mafias who are working around the clock to take over sugar cane business that has been source of income for basoga for the last decades.
