By Frank Kamuntu

The 40 days have ended for social media influencer Mr Masuumi Juma who has been remanded to Luzira prison over cyber harassment and defamation.

Masuumi’s arrest came after several days issuing toxic statements via various social media handles against the Communication boss of the Office of the National Chairman (ONC) Mr Kintu Moses.

In one of the posts via his pseudo X handle formerly Twitter, under the names of Sword, he alleged that Kintu is a gay and described one of the ONC coordinators Mr Buyela Christopher as a ‘dog’.

His post read; “Madam Namyalo Chief Muzzukulu, tell your dog Buyela Christopher to stop sharing your indoor discussions to the public.

Also warn this gay Moses Kintu to mind his language Ugandans are busy working rather than giving attention to these chicken fights.”

In another post, he attacked ONC boss Hajjat Namyalo with baseless rumors that her marriage had hit a deadlock which is not true.

Masuumi’s arrest has been confirmed by Mr Kintu himself saying he will sleep in Luzira until 7th March 2025 when he will appear back at Grade I Magistrates court in Luzira.

“This person has been using different Whatsapp numbers to heap toxic rumors against me on various Whatsapp groups. He has also been using a pseudo twitter account called Sword where he alleged am a gay. So I couldn’t allow him to continue trading his rubbish. He was arrested, arraigned before Court and sent to warm bed bugs in Luzira prison,” a furious Kintu said.
