Hajjat Namyalo Paralyzes Kampala City As Museveni Launches Update Of NRM Register

By Frank Kamuntu

HE Yoweri Kaguta Museveni dubbed national chairman of the ruling National Resistance Movement (NRM) has on Wednesday launched the exercise to update his party register ahead of 2026 polls.

At an event held at party headquarters at plot 10 Kyadondo road, Museveni commended the good work being done by the party, saying knowing the number of supporters they have will help them to prepare wisely for the 2026 elections.

“This is a good nucleus. Each book is sent back to the village and people check. People are free to go and check and if somebody is missing, they can be added, ” said Museveni before he urged the party leaders to understand the key NRM principles if they are to have an effective registration and update.

“Mobilization in the form of holding meetings and rallies is good but all those efforts will be very easy if you go back to the NRM principles and understand them. These principles are a diagnosis of the problems of Uganda and then a prescription. Therefore, as you mobilize, understand these principles yourself,” he added;

“That’s why you the leaders must be different from the followers. Followers don’t need to understand depth of matters but only a summary. You the cadres are like priests. You must go deep and that is why it is crucial to understand the four principles of NRM. Each one has got very serious issues behind it. Mobilization of meetings is rending our clothes, but we must rend our hearts.”

Kampala Paralyzed

Before the above however, Museveni’s proud chief muzukulu who serves at [his] office of the national chairman (ONC) Kyambogo, Hajjat Hadija Namyalo paralyzed Kampala city when she led a procession of hundreds of bazzukulu who triumphantly ‘cut off’ various city streets rallying wanainchi to go welcome the President at the launch.

Namyalo could be heard preaching to the fully charged bazzukulu on the streets and markets that as a must, Uganda’s most capable leader Museveni is coming back for the 2026 election battle.

”Let them not hoodwink you, we have only one presidential candidate whom we must keep ticking every electoral season and that’s HE Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. I want to assure you that our jajja is still capable any time soon he will announce his return on the ballot because we as Ugandans still have a lot we need him to fulfil before he retires, therefore join me in tasking him to stay on the ‘main’ and make it to the 2026 ballot,” Namyalo preached to thousands of boda boda riders who were riding in various groups along Kampala streets chanting praises to Museveni.
