Mukono Land Scandals: 14 Suspects Including A Grandparent Arrested & Charged Of Criminal Trespass

This afternoon, the State House Anti Corruption Unit together with Uganda Police have arraigned 14 suspects before the Mukono Chief Magistrates on Charges of Forcible Entry, Criminal Trespass, Malicious Damage and Conspiracy to Commit a Felony.

The Unit says between 17th and 21st May 2024, the accused together with others still at large violently entered into land comprised on Block 189 plot 888 in Lwanyonyi Mukono. ”They graded the land, destroying crops, trees, and water pipes on land belonging to the Estate of the late Israel Banoba,”

One Kavambere Rose who claims part of the land, had earlier on been sued by late Banoba vide Civil Suit 66/2013 and Court found she is a trespasser on the land.
