In the early hours of Sunday, June 2, a shooting at the Ballers Hookah Lounge and Cigar Bar in suburban Pittsburgh resulted in the tragic deaths of two partygoers.
According to police reports, seven others sustained various degrees of injuries, with one individual reported to be in critical condition.
First responders discovered the lifeless bodies of a man and a woman at the pub, while additional victims were found on the scene and some sought medical attention at nearby hospitals.
Preliminary investigations suggest that an altercation in the bar led to multiple individuals opening fire.
The Allegheny County Police Department’s homicide unit has been called in to assist the Penn Hills Police Department, who initially responded to the incident.
As of now, no arrests have been made in connection to the devastating shooting.
Back home, Kenyans were shocked at the murder of US embassy engineer, Anthony Njomo, at Qukin Lounge.
According to the police, the killing stemmed from an altercation over women involving two parties in which Njomo was not involved.
The police nabbed two suspects who were linked to the groups as they continued with a search for the main suspect, whom the CCTV footage revealed as a bouncer belonging to one of the fighting parties.
Unfortunately, a police officer was suspected of being involved in Njomo’s death. He was arrested, taken to court, and ultimately ordered to be detained for 14 days to facilitate investigations.
