The State House Anti-Corruption Unit on Friday arraigned Businessman Dungu Henry Matovu, Masaka MZO ICT Officer Kireri John, and Land Surveyor Onyango Patrick before Masaka Chief Magistrate’s Court.
The trio is charged with 24 counts of forgery, uttering false documents, and fraudulent procurement of title.
According to the Unit, the accused individuals are alleged to have forged a land title and imposed it on the pre-existing title of Kulsum Patel, which comprised 267 acres in Lwengo District.
”Subsequently, Dungu and others proceeded to subdivide and sell off the land, and later used goons to forcefully evict Patel from the property. They have been remanded until 18/06/2024.
