President Museveni has expressed his commitment to combating corruption and inefficiency within the government through a statement.

While celebrating his wife’s 76th birthday, he reaffirmed his dedication to addressing the theft of government funds, non-compliance with guidance, and unauthorized actions by officials.

Museveni emphasized that the NRM will only act against individuals based on solid evidence and highlighted the abundance of proof that has yet to be pursued.

He pointed out the key officials responsible for managing government funds, such as Permanent Secretaries and Chief Administrative Officers, and stressed the need for their accountability.
