In the incident that happened on Saturday night, at Namutale village, Kabayingire parish, Buwaya sub-county, Mayuge district saw Pte Herbertson Birivumbuka walk into the home of Buyinza Mudhasi Isaac 40, and started spraying bullets into the house.

Mudhasi was killed with his three children on the spot while five other family members were critically injured.

In a statement on Monday, SFC public information officer, Maj Jimmy Omara said Pte Birivumbika had escaped from his place of work before committing the heinous crime.

Maj Omara assured the public that as the UPDF (SFC), their strategic relationship with Ugandans will continue to be highly maintained “as we weed out errant members of the force.”
