Namisindwa Cultural Leaders Hail MP Aspirant Dr Khanakwa For Supporting Electorates With Free Health Services

Visibly excited clan leaders of greater Buwabwala in Bumumali sub-countyin on Saturday expressed gratitude towards Hon. Dr. Khanakwa Sarah, for the tremendous medical services she has been lobbying for the people of Namisindwa District.

The praises followed Khanakwa’s fully sponsored medical camp held at Bunambale on July 11th & 12th, 2024. At this medical camp, Namisindwa people were offered free services including; eye care, general medicine, TB screening, hepatitis B vaccination, family planning, deworming, malaria screening and treatment, and sickle cell trait screening.

The leaders at this event, which attracted hundreds, noted that the Khanakwa has been restless on issues concerning health in Namisindwa adding that for the last couple of decades, thousands of people have benefited from her dedicated services.

”She has been with us in various ways, today she is tackling this issue of health, she wants all of us to live a health life. And that explains why she is putting in all her little resources to see that her people live better,” noted a 59-year-old man who said had come for optical services at the health camp.

A one Musamali Jamada, also a beneficiary of Khanakwa’s health services, revealed that dozens of homesteads face economic hardships and sometimes they need people like Khanakwa to support them.

”This has been a prayer for most people to have these kinds of services, God has used her to save many of us who had issues with our health. I think we need leaders like Khanakwa who stand by the people. We vote every after 5 years, but most of our people don’t come back to us the common wanainchi, Khanakwa will be a good MP and surely we are ready to rally behind her,” noted Jamada.

Khanakwa’s health camps started on July 8th & 9th, 2024 at Bukhaweka TC, July 11th & 12th, 2024 at Bunambale, July 14th & 15th, 2024 at Nabitsiki and will continue on July 17th & 18th, 2024 at Bumbo and conclude on July 19th & 20th, 2024 at Magale town council.

This good cause has attracted support from the Ministry of Health, AIDS Information Centre, KEDDI Foundation, BETBRA Namisindwa ARCH Resources, and Uganda Red Cross Society.
