The latest landing on our desk indicates that HE Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has already confirmed his presence as the chief guest at the 18th anniversary celebrations of Excel Vocational Training Centre located in Bombo Kalule-Luwero.
According to director of this mighty educational institute, dubbed head of mobilization at Office of the National Chairman (ONC) – Kyambogo, Hajji Shafiq Mwanje, the event is scheduled for 10th August 2024.
Swift News has learnt that due to the massive number of people (bazzukulu) expected on that day, the event won’t be held at the institute but at Kalule playground, just few meters from the school.
Further, we have learnt that this event is not just for Excel Vocational but for the entire Luwero and beyond and therefore invitations have been extended to every one.
”Our success is highly attributed to the love and support we have got from the people of Luwero, so it will be unfair if we celebrate our achievements alone without our people. Therefore, i kindly invite every one to come and celebrate with us and with our President who will be our chief guest,” noted Mwanje.
The President will on this day officially open a multimillion for three storey building established by the Institute following a fire outbreak that left most buildings and property badly smashed.
Also, the president will officially launch a historical NRA musical album made by the students of Excel and will finally deliver a powerful message of wealth creation to the Luwero people.
Excel Vocational Training Centre which started in 2006 has to date passed out over 2000 trainees in both business and technical courses which include among others; Industrial Art and Design, Hotel and Institutional Catering, Hairdressing and Beauty, Motor Vehicle Mechanics, Bricklaying and Concrete Practice.
Other courses taught include; Electronics Repair, Electrical Installation, Welding and Metal Fabrication, Plumbing, Journalism, and Early Childhood Development.
