In a remarkable display of community spirit, Mbale City residents have launched a comprehensive clean-up campaign in preparation for the upcoming Bugisu Youth Symposium, scheduled for 12th September 2024, at Mbale SS playground.

The clean-up effort, which kicked off today, aims to ensure a warm and dignified welcome for H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, who will deliver a keynote address on “Mindset Change for Youths on Wealth Creation” at the symposium.

Residents, local businesses, and community groups are working together to sweep streets, collect trash, and beautify public spaces, demonstrating their pride and commitment to hosting a successful event.

“We are thrilled to host the President and want to showcase the best of Mbale,” said a local resident. “This clean-up campaign is our way of showing respect and hospitality.”

The Bugisu Youth Symposium will be a transformative experience for young people in the region, and the clean-up initiative sets the tone for a memorable event.
