Shakib Lutaaya has retracted his earlier statement about his wife, Zari Hassan, leaving fans confused.
On August 10, Diamond Platnumz, Zari’s ex, attended his daughter’s birthday and surprised her with expensive toys.
Drama started with Zari going live on social media accusing Shakib of being insecure. She claimed her 31-year-old hubby kept questioning why Diamond was at her house.
“One thing my husband doesn’t understand is that I’m so over my ex. I chose my husband over a lot of people. There are a lot of people who want to be with me, but I choose my husband. My baby-daddy is not your competition. “Let me tell you something; if I want to get back with Diamond, I can. If Diamond wants to get back with me he can,” she said.
She asked her husband what he brings to the table and told women who desired him to have him, saying all the bills would be on them.
Shakib was forced to respond, but he didn’t mince his words. He claimed Zari is a miser and only cares about her interests.
“I work and hustle like a man. The most I have ever received from Zari, as you all know, she is a miser. I am not lying against her because this can be backed up by her friends, family and in-laws. The biggest amount I have ever received from her was when we went to Tanzania on her business trip,” he said.
Shakib added that Zari is old and can’t give him a child.
Are Zari & Shakib Back Together?
Two days ago, Shakib changed his story and speaking during an interview with Glam&Style on Galaxy TV, he praised Zari.
“If I got married to Zari because of money, we would have broken up a long time ago. What bonds me with Zari is shared love,” he said.
The Ugandan man said Zari is a supportive partner, noting that she helps him financially at times after denying that she supports him.
“Zari’s money is for her and her kids,” he added.

Asked how their relationship works now that he stays in Uganda and she lives in South Africa, he said they see each other more often.
“We don’t spend more than two weeks (fortnight) without seeing each other,” he said.
