Terrible: 11 Dead After School Bus Rams Into Students & Parents At Gate

By Our Correspondent

Beijing, China – 11 people, including students, have been confirmed dead after a school bus rammed into parents and students at a school gate.

The students and parents were at the gate of a middle school in Tai’an city, Shandong province, just before 7:30am on Tuesday, September 3, when the tragedy occurred.

The driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle as it approached the school in Shandong.

CBS News reported that six parents and five students were killed. One of the injured is in serious condition, while the others are in stable condition.

Images circulating on social media showed adults kneeling beside children in blood-soaked clothes lying on the road next to a large bus.

Local authorities have detained the bus driver as investigations into the matter continue.

This incident follows a tragic accident in Kenya, where 12 people were killed in a road crash in Tharaka Nithi County.

Grief enveloped a group of women after the tragic loss of their colleagues in a fatal collision on Nithi Bridge along Meru-Embu Road.

Among the 12 that perished were two children, nine women, and the van’s driver. Police reports indicate that multiple vehicles were involved in the crash.

Our correspondent spoke with Elizabeth, a team member, who shared that the group had attended a parental blessing event at a colleague’s residence in Meru.

Elizabeth explained that the 20 women had traveled to the celebratory event in two vans, where parents were honored with gifts from various guests.

As their vehicle was just a few meters away from the scene, Elizabeth heard a loud bang and turned to see the van had crashed.
