By Our Reporter

Joe Wavamuno Kayima, the son of prominent Ugandan billionaire Gordon Wavamuno, has passed away at the age of 57. According to reports from close family associates, Kayima tragically died following a bathroom accident while in Thailand.

The deceased had reportedly accompanied his wife Doreen for medication, whose operation was scheduled for Monday, as confirmed by his elder brother Elvis.

He was found dead at around 3pm local time, according to reports.

He extended his condolences to Professor Gordon Wavamuno, Kayima’s father, and to the entire Wavamuno family, including Elvis Wavamuno and friends associated with Spear Motors.

Kayima’s death has highlighted the dangers of accidents in bathrooms, which are often caused by slippery surfaces, poor lighting, and a lack of safety features. These incidents are unfortunately common, particularly among the elderly and vulnerable.

In Uganda, Joe Wavamuno Kayima was known for his role in managing parts of his father’s extensive business empire, which includes Spear Motors, the official distributor of Mercedes-Benz vehicles in Uganda. He was also known for taking care of his elderly father, who has been a prominent figure in the Ugandan business world for decades.
