Phiona Nyamutoro, wife of Ugandan music star Eddy Kenzo, has written a touching birthday tribute as Maya Musuuza celebrates her new age. Maya, Eddy Kenzo’s first-born daughter from a previous relationship, has been raised under her father’s care, with several stepmothers playing significant roles in her life, including Rema Namakula and now Phiona Nyamutoro.
In her heartfelt message, Phiona reminisced about her first encounter with Maya when she was just 9 years old. Phiona fondly recalled how Maya insisted they wear the same hairstyle during school holidays, a memory she cherishes as Maya has now blossomed into a teenager with her own unique style and interests.
Phiona expressed deep gratitude for Maya’s growth, acknowledging her role as a loving big sister, a compassionate soul, and even a “firefighter” in their family. In her message, she conveyed her hopes for Maya’s life to be filled with the same grace she exudes.
“It feels like just yesterday when you were a 9-year-old insisting that we rock the same hairstyle during holidays, and now you’ve grown into a teenager with your own flair. I never imagined I would find a kindred spirit in a child! I’m forever blessed and grateful to have you as an amazing big sister and my first firefighter,” Phiona wrote.
She concluded her message with a heartfelt birthday wish, “May life be as graceful to you as you are. Happy birthday, Ka Mirembe Kange.”
