Enough Of Nudity! ‘Digital Condom’ Launched To Block Video Recording During Sex Marathons

By Kato Jamil

Ever wished your phone came with a “privacy mode” that actually protected your private moments? Enter German sexual wellness brand BILLY BOY’s latest creation: CAMDOM, an app built to keep prying eyes (and ears) out of your business.

Let’s face it: smartphones make it super easy to take photos, videos, or audio without permission, and that’s a big problem—especially for teens. Once something is leaked online, it can spread like wildfire, causing emotional chaos for the victims.

Described as a “digital condom,” CAMDOM blocks cameras and microphones on your devices and any Bluetooth-enabled ones nearby, helping you stay in control of your personal space—literally with just a swipe.

So, how does this work? Just put your smartphones together, swipe a virtual button, and all cameras and microphones are blocked. If someone tries to sneak a peek or record, an alarm goes off, alerting you to the potential threat. Plus, you can block multiple devices at once, so you and your partner can both feel safe and sound.

During the launch of the app, developer Felipe Almeida said, “Nowadays, smartphones have become an extension of our body and we store a lot of sensitive data on them. In order to protect you from the recording of non-consensual content, we’ve created the first app that can block your camera and mic simply through the use of Bluetooth.”

BILLY BOY’s brand manager Alexander Strümann added, “BILLY BOY is a brand known to protect people in the analogue world, so we wanted to take the next step and protect the digital generation from a threat that a normal condom can’t tackle, but a digital one can: Namely, the leakage of non-consensual media during sex.”

Launched in 30 countries, CAMDOM is made to handle multiple devices, so you and your friends can be extra protected. And to turn off the “digital shield,” just press and hold the unlock button on both devices for three seconds. But beware: anyone who tries to bypass the app’s restrictions will set off another alarm, just in case things start getting too sneaky.

Currently available on Android, the CAMDOM App is coming to iOS soon, making it easier than ever to enjoy safe, consensual fun in the digital age.
