With Ruben Amorim not joining until November 11, interim head coach Ruud van Nistelrooy remains in charge of Manchester United for their Premier League clash with Chelsea.
Van Nistelrooy sparked an upturn in fortunes when United beat Leicester 5-2 in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday and the Dutchman is unlikely to make too many changes from that team.
Andre Onana, Noussair Mazraoui and Rasmus Hojlund are all likely to return to the side, while Van Nistelrooy is hopeful Christian Eriksen will be fit after he missed the Leicester win.
Eriksen is vying for a midfield spot with Manuel Ugarte, who has struggled since his summer move to Old Trafford.
Casemiro is pushing to keep his place after scoring twice in midweek.
Diogo Dalot, Lisandro Martinez, Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui are likely to make up the back four, with Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford set to flank Rasmus Hojlund in attack.
Harry Maguire, Kobbie Mainoo, Tyrell Malacia, Mason Mount, Luke Shaw, Antony and Leny Yoro remain sidelined.
“We’re still hoping and working hard to get Christian Eriksen part of the squad,” said Van Nistelrooy ahead of the game.
“He’s working hard to make it in the last moment. And other than that, there’s no news on players that will be available, any other than [Wednesday].”
Predicted Manchester United XI: Onana; Dalot, De Ligt, Martinez, Mazraoui; Casemiro, Ugarte, Fernandes; Rashford, Hojlund, Garnacho
Injured: Mainoo, Maguire, Yoro, Shaw, Malacia, Mount, Antony.
