Senior Presidential Advisor and Manager of the Office of the NRM National Chairman (ONC), Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye, has pledged the ONC’s commitment to supporting the Bazzukulu pastors.
Hajjat Hadijah made this pledge on Wednesday afternoon during the launch of the Reformed Generation of Pastors and Preachers Association (RGPPA) in Kyebando, a suburb on the outskirts of Kampala.
“The ONC does not discriminate against any faith. As you know, the government of H.E. President Yoweri Museveni has provided us all with a platform to freely practice our religions,” Hajjat said at Trinity Church.
She added, explaining the importance of empowerment, stating, “Our commitment is to support initiatives like these that uplift our people. It does not pay to preach on an empty stomach.”
Her remarks were met with thunderous applause from a crowd of over 1,200 pastors, who expressed their agreement and appreciation.
Apostle Benson Kayondo, the leader of the RGPPA, reciprocated the gesture by pledging the association’s unwavering support to President Museveni’s leadership. The group, which unites young Pentecostal preachers from across Uganda, later offered prayers for Hajjat Hadijah’s success in her endeavors.
In what is now known as her signature style, Hajjat Hadijah closed the event on a high note by serenading the congregation with Sylver Kyagulanyi’s uplifting song, Ekisa Ekinondoola, with the preachers singing along as the spirit of the Lord descended.
