The Unbwogable Lions Of Western Uganda: Ntare School, Parental Care Nursery & Primary School-Bushenyi Win National Speech And Debate Championship

Ntare School and Parental Care Nursery & Primary School, Bushenyi have etched their names into the history books, with both institutions emerging as champions in their respective categories at the National Speech and Debate Championship.

The event held today 12th December 2024, at King’s College Budo’s main auditorium in Kampala was organized by the National Debate Council, Uganda (NDC).

Ntare School claimed its third national title with a dominating 10:1 victory in the senior competition, while Parental Care Nursery & Primary School triumphed in the 4th National Junior Speech and Debate Championship and remember these are defending champions with St. Mary’s College Kisubi. Parental Care Nursery & Primary School, Bushenyi in 2023 scooped these competitions.

To win the competition, Ntare School ousted Holy Cross Lake View. With this triumph, Ntare joins an exclusive club of schools that have redefined what it means to debate at the highest level.

Ntare’s winning strategy, polished delivery, and sharp arguments left their opponents no chance, as they effortlessly dominated the 10:1 final score.

The championship finale was a masterclass in debate, as Ntare’s team displayed a deep understanding of the motion, effortlessly dismantling their opponents’ arguments with precision and expertise. Their relentless preparation and superior performance made this victory seem almost inevitable. The lions of Ntare roared their way into history, securing their third national title with the kind of confidence that can only come from champions.

On the other hand, Parental Care Nursery & Primary School, Bushenyi triumphed with an outstanding victory after a thrilling finale against Mbarara Municipal School. In these finals, Parental Care demonstrated that they are forces to be reckoned with, proving that age is no barrier to excellence in speech and debate.

 

Their triumph in the junior category was highlighted by a fierce debate on the future of learning, where Parental Care Nursery & Primary School, Bushenyi stood firm in their belief in the power of STEM education. Their victory not only showcases their mastery of argumentation but also reinforces the importance of preparing young minds for the challenges of the future.
