National Unity Platform (NUP) leader Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu says was blocked yesterday from accessing musician Jose Chameleone in Nakasero Hospital, where he has been admitted for a couple of days now.
It is worth recalling that the celebrated artist’s health first became a concern in 2023 when he was bedridden for several weeks due to an undisclosed illness.
Bobi Wine via his socials revealed that the medics told him it was impossible to see Chameleone because he was sedated and not in a position to be seen.
”Passed by Nakasero Hospital this morning to check on our brother Jose Chameleon, following reports that he is critically ill. Unfortunately, we couldn’t see him because his medical team said he was sedated and not in a position to be seen. We continue to pray for him and wish him a full and quick recovery,” tweeted Bobi Wine.
According to a report shared by an admin of Chameleone’s social media pages, the musician’s condition was critical. The post, which was later deleted, detailed how the musician needed prayers from his fans.
The admin of his page asked netizens to remain strong and keep the singer in their prayers;
“We wish to extend our appreciation to all of Jose Chameleone’s fans for the prayers and well wishes for him at this time as he’s hospitalized in critical condition. Our prayers will be heard. Let’s keep strong. We also thank Nakasero Hospital for doing their best professionally,” part of the message read.
They also warned people planning to visit the musician and to create content that they would not be allowed to see him. Only true fans and his close friends would get access.
“We also would like to inform some individuals that this is not a show where you come for sake – You won’t be granted access because of your selfish interests at this time. We are only expecting friends and fans of Joseph! Prayers from good people are worth much more than the devil’s wish. Get well soon, Joseph,” the message ended.
