HE Yoweri Kaguta Museveni must be warming up to scoop all the votes from western Uganda, courtesy of the supersonic mobilization being conducted by his right-hand muzzukulu Prosper Tuhaise Kururagire.
For starters, Prosper is the CEO and money magnet behind the flourishing Bunga Bet, an African reputable betting company that is currently employing thousands of Ugandans with over 50 outlets throughout the country.
Prosper is also the NRM Chairperson Bukiro Town Council & Bukiro Subcounty in Mbarara District.
Prosper has since injected in a lot of money by booking airtime on various radio stations in western Uganda with a mission of tipping Ugandans about the mega achievements Museveni has scooped through his mighty NRM government and a reason he should come back in 2026.
”Ever since he took power in 1986, NRM led by Tibuhaburwa has implemented various social, economic, and political reforms. While the NRM’s leadership has faced criticism, especially from the enemies of progress, significant milestones can be noted in sectors such as security, health, education, infrastructure, and economic development,” said Prosper last month on capital fm adding;
”It is against the above background that I stand on these radio waves to request Ugandans including those from western Uganda where I come from to accept and gift Museveni a ‘thank you vote’. Let’s massively vote for him in 2026 as a sign of recognition for his unwavering dedication to serving us.”
During these weekend radio shows, Prosper shares this radio airtime with other Museveni loyalists to mobilize support for their leader.
”Some people have always wondered why I invest my little resources into mobilization for Museveni, others even ‘dream’ that maybe am funded by the President to do what am doing, the fact is am just a staunch supporter of NRM & am an all-rounder politician who gives credit where is due. In the early 1990s, Museveni shifted Uganda’s economy from a state-controlled system to a free-market economy, leading to significant growth, investment, and business development. Since then, the poverty rate has since dropped from over 50% in the 1990s to around 20% by 2019, a significant achievement in terms of economic improvement and income generation, so with all these powerful achievements why can’t I sacrifice the little I have to keep Museveni in power? indeed he deserves another term,” Prosper further nailed it.
Meanwhile, it is worth noting that this is not the first time Prosper is injecting millions into mobilization for Museveni, in July this year, 2024, he transported thousands of NRM supporters from Mbarara to Kampala at Kololo independence grounds to celebrate and thank President Museveni for his leadership and driving the the country steadily.
Going forward, he vows that he won’t rest until Museveni bounces back in the State House in 2026. ”Personally, I have kicked off officially to hunt for support for my chairman and president Museveni. Am going to make all media houses in Mbarara busy with pro Museveni programs until we secure the 2026 victory.”
