“A customer, Lingala Balaji Reddy, was also taken into custody. Four women – three from Uganda, and one from Kenya – were rescued from the house and sent to a government shelter for rehabilitation,” said the police.
A case has been registered by the Amberpet police.
Illegal Migrants
These arrests come close on heels of the arrest of 18 individuals, including illegal migrants, for operating organised brothels in Chaderghat and Khairatabad. The simultaneous raids were conducted on February 26 by the Commissioner’s Task Force, South Zone Team, in coordination with local police, leading to the rescue of two minor girls.
Investigations revealed that a group of brokers, including Kamarul Shaik and Azarul Shaik from West Bengal, were illegally bringing Bangladeshi nationals into India under the guise of providing employment. These individuals were reportedly charged between ₹15,000 and ₹20,000 for illegal migration, with fake Indian identification documents issued in West Bengal, before they were sent to various cities, including Hyderabad and Bangalore.
Cases have been registered under multiple sections of the law, including the Foreigners Act and the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act.
