In a stirring message that blends faith, determination, and political resolve, Kyeswa Hakim, an aspiring candidate for the position of NRM National Vice Chairman – Central Region, has issued a passionate call to action to party delegates, supporters, and well-wishers ahead of a key milestone in his political journey.
Under the rallying cry “A Call to Stand Firm as We Make History Together,” Hakim reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to the NRM cause and reminded supporters that their mission is bigger than one individual—it is a generational struggle for transformation.
“I give thanks to the Almighty for the gift of life,” Hakim began, paying tribute to divine guidance and expressing deep admiration for President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and First Lady Janet Museveni for their continued leadership. Their example, he said, remains a source of inspiration for many.
Hakim’s political journey, which he describes as one rooted in the collective spirit of the people, now enters a crucial stage. The NRM Electoral Commission has officially released the schedule for expression of interest in party leadership positions, and Hakim is set to formally express his interest on 27th June 2025.
“Mark this date,” he told supporters, “for it is not just a procedural step—it is the beginning of a defining moment in our generational journey.”
In his message, Hakim saluted those who have stood firm in the face of manipulation and political intimidation. Without mincing words, he warned against the influence of “old guards who have plundered enough,” cautioning supporters not to let inducements blur their vision.
“If they come with bribes, take back what is rightfully yours—but never forget the greater mission,” he declared, sending a clear message about political accountability and grassroots empowerment.
His tone was one of unity and resilience: “Whether with me or without me, be the agents of hope in your districts. Stand bold, stand firm, and let no one silence the voice of progress.”
Hakim’s message comes at a time when many within the ruling party are pushing for generational renewal and a more inclusive leadership structure. As the NRM gears up for a critical internal election season, his voice is emerging as one of the most spirited and forward-looking in the race.
With just days to go before the formal declaration of intent, the political winds in Central Uganda may soon be shifting—and Kyeswa Hakim wants to make sure history remembers those who dared to stand firm.
