Owobusobozi Bisaka Urges Believers to Support President Museveni In Upcoming Election

By Our Reporter

The founder and spiritual leader of the Faith of Unity, Omukama Ruhanga Owobusobozi Bisaka, has called upon his followers to actively support the National Resistance Movement (NRM) government and its leader, President Yoweri Museveni, in the upcoming election.

Speaking at the Omukama Ruhanga Owobusobozi Bisaka International Stadium in Muhorro during the 39th Flower Day (Children’s Day) celebrations, Owobusobozi Bisaka encouraged believers to participate fully in government programs and to support efforts aimed at national development. He emphasized that hard work is essential for achieving success and prosperity.

Praising the NRM for maintaining peace and stability, Owobusobozi Bisaka noted that without President Museveni’s investigative support, the Faith of Unity might not have succeeded in uniting people from across the globe. He urged his followers to double their efforts in implementing government initiatives, highlighting diligence as a key value of the Faith.

The day’s celebrations began with a grand procession from the Kapyemi Headquarters of the Faith of Unity to the international stadium in Kyalubayinga, Muhorro Sub-county, Kagadi District.

During the event, approximately 275 individuals from different religious backgrounds formally joined the Faith of Unity. They were warmly welcomed by Owobusobozi Bisaka, who presented each of them with the Book of God of the Age of Oneness and the official Faith of Unity calendar. He explained the calendar’s structure, which designates only three rest days per month (the 2nd, 12th, and 22nd), encouraging believers to dedicate the remaining 27 days to productive work.

Flower Day holds deep spiritual and historical significance within the Faith of Unity. It commemorates the events of July 2, 1986, when Owobusobozi Bisaka miraculously healed numerous women who had been unable to give birth due to what were believed to be satanic charms. Following their healing—offered free of charge—the grateful mothers, carrying their newborns and holding flowers, paraded with him through the streets of Muhorro, joyfully singing “Omukama Ruhanga Owamahe Goona Muhikiriire Tumukugize Itwena” (The Lord God Who Does All Things, We Thank You All).

Since then, Flower Day has been celebrated annually, promoting themes of unity, hard work, gratitude, and active civic participation for the betterment of both community and country.
