Sironko District – Parliamentary hopeful Wokou Paul Maberi has officially launched his campaign to represent Budadiri West Constituency in the 2026–2031 Parliament, promising transformative leadership grounded in grassroots needs and effective national lobbying.
Wokou, who is campaigning under the slogan “The hope of Budadiri,” believes that this is the rightful moment for the people of Budadiri West to entrust him with the mandate to represent them in Parliament. According to him, the time is now for voters to empower a leader with the energy and vision to effectively serve, lobby for resources, and ensure inclusive representation.
“The people of Budadiri deserve better. They deserve a representative who will not only speak for them but also deliver development through strategic partnerships and lobbying at the national level,” Wokou said.
It should be remembered that last month, while appearing on UBC Radio Butebi, Hon. Wokou officially launched a Ten-Point Manifesto aimed at transforming the Budadiri West constituency in Sironko District. The manifesto outlines practical priorities focused on infrastructure, economic empowerment, and access to essential services.
Key highlights of his Ten-Point Agenda include:
- ✅ Lobbying for the creation of Sironko Municipality to boost central government funding and improve local service delivery
- ✅ Advocating for government-supplied ploughing tractors to enhance agricultural productivity
- ✅ Promoting value addition in agriculture to improve market access and farmer incomes
- ✅ Extending rural electrification and water supply systems to underserved communities
The campaign poster, which is circulating widely across Budadiri West, projects a confident and well-prepared candidate. Featuring a smartly dressed Wokou against a bright yellow backdrop with patriotic ribbons, the design emphasizes his readiness and vision for leadership.
With just days to the polls scheduled for the 17th of this month, political analysts and local observers estimate that Hon. Wokou Paul Maberi is on track to win by a landslide, with projections suggesting a victory margin of over 70%.
His growing support base cites his consistent message, clear priorities, and strong local presence as reasons why voters believe he represents the new dawn for Budadiri West.
