Business-minded delegates from the Buganda region were all praises over the weekend as King Ceasor Mulenga Augustus, a prominent youth leader and aspiring Chairperson for the NRM Entrepreneurs League CEC, unveiled a major financial package to bolster grassroots entrepreneurship.
Speaking at the launch of the Central Region SACCO, King Ceasor extended heartfelt appreciation to the delegates who honored his invitation and actively participated in shaping what he described as a “transformative economic vehicle.”
“Your participation and insights made the event deeply meaningful,” King Ceasor said. “This SACCO is a key step in addressing the challenge of affordable credit for our entrepreneurs.”
Originally, King Ceasor had pledged UGX 100 million per region, but during the deliberations, delegates advised that funds be allocated by sub-region for greater reach and impact. Embracing their counsel, the young philanthropist and businessman committed UGX 100 million to each of the 18 sub-regions, culminating in a total disbursement of UGX 1.8 billion.
“This move underscores his responsiveness to grassroots voices and his unwavering support for regional enterprise,” remarked one of the delegates.
In another landmark announcement, King Ceasor officially opened the first-ever National Offices of the NRM Entrepreneurs League, located at Plot 2, Lugard Road, Nakasero. The office will serve as the national hub for coordination, strategy, and guidance for all entrepreneurial programs under the NRM umbrella.
He concluded his address by attributing the nation’s fertile ground for innovation and commerce to the steady leadership of President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, saying:
“I thank H.E. President Museveni for the peace and stability he brought to Uganda. Without this foundation, development and entrepreneurship would not thrive.”
As the race for the NRM Entrepreneurs League Chairperson seat intensifies, King Ceasor’s initiatives appear to be cementing his position as a leading figure dedicated to inclusive, grassroots-driven economic transformation.
