Controversial singer Alien Skin—real name Patrick Mulwana—is once again at the centre of a storm, this time facing murder allegations after a member of his own music crew, Wilfred Namuwaya, died from injuries sustained in a suspected mob beating.

Police say the 27-year-old musician ordered the assault, marking the most serious accusation yet in a career littered with violent episodes, public brawls and political clashes.

Deadly Night In Ndeeba

According to investigators, on September 20, 2025, Namuwaya was forcibly taken from his Ndeeba residence by a man identified only as Musomali, a close associate of Alien Skin’s Fangone Forest gang. Authorities allege Musomali was acting on the singer’s instructions to “discipline” Namuwaya for quitting the group without permission.

The victim was later dumped in Mpomba Zone, where a good Samaritan rushed him to Mulago National Referral Hospital. Despite emergency care, Namuwaya succumbed to his injuries on September 22, turning what insiders call a “gang punishment” into a homicide investigation.

Police spokesperson SSP Patrick Onyango described the case as a clear act of coordinated violence:

“The suspects, including Alien Skin, orchestrated a violent attack on the victim. This is a serious matter, and we are determined to bring all involved to justice.”

Alien Skin remains at large, and detectives have launched a manhunt for him and three alleged accomplices—Commander Mdogo, Ibra Kabadiya and Mijagulo.

A Trail Of Violence & Scandal

The murder probe is the latest in a string of high-profile clashes that have transformed the self-styled “ghetto president” into one of Uganda’s most notorious entertainers.

December 2024: Alien Skin was remanded to Luzira Prison after a viral video showed his entourage attacking security guards and medical staff at Nsambya Hospital. Though initially booked for assault, he was later charged with robbery, accused of stealing an iPhone 15 Pro, Shs480,000 in cash and a national ID.
January 2025: Fellow musician Pallaso—once a defender of Alien Skin—allegedly led a violent raid on the singer’s Makindye home, smashing property and injuring crew members following a heated exchange earlier that day in Buloba, Wakiso District. Alien Skin reportedly hid in a ceiling to escape harm.
Political entanglements: The singer has also been accused of mobilising gangs to attack National Unity Platform (NUP) supporters at Makerere Kavule headquarters, underscoring how his feuds often spill beyond entertainment.

Once hailed as a raw voice of the ghetto, Alien Skin now faces mounting public outrage as his street credibility gives way to fears of unchecked violence. Human rights advocates and music industry stakeholders have urged authorities to rein in a culture of impunity that allows celebrity gangs to terrorise communities.

Police are appealing to the public for any information that could lead to the arrest of Alien Skin and his associates.

“The investigation is ongoing, and we urge anyone with knowledge of their whereabouts to come forward,” SSP Onyango said.

If charged and convicted of murder, Alien Skin could face life imprisonment or even the death penalty, a dramatic fall for a performer once celebrated as a voice of Kampala’s ghettos—now branded by authorities as a fugitive whose fame masks a dangerous criminal underworld.
