The Office of the National Chairman (ONC) has launched a state-of-the-art digital Vote Protection and Monitoring System designed to secure President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s votes in the 2026 General Elections. The groundbreaking platform was unveiled today by ONC Manager SPA/PA Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo during a high-energy ceremony at the ONC headquarters in Kampala.

The new system represents one of the most advanced electoral-management tools ever deployed by the National Chairman’s office, combining real-time intelligence, field reporting, voter-protection coordination, and digital verification to prevent electoral malpractice.

A Digital Shield For Museveni’s 2026 Vote

Hajjat Namyalo said the digital system developed by the State House ICT Department under Hajjat Hamida Kibirige will streamline monitoring at all polling stations, verify identities, track coordinators, detect anomalies, and neutralize any attempts at vote rigging.

“For years, the opposition has accused NRM and President Museveni of rigging,” Namyalo said. “But the truth is, even NUP has been involved in stealing votes. This system will end all that. We expect no complaints after 2026 because technology can’t lie.”

She emphasized that the system integrates a verified national database of 144,000 vote protectors two in every village recruited during last year’s Vote Protection Exercise.

The digital platform is also available as a mobile app, allowing instant reporting and real-time visibility on the activities of all vote protectors.

“You cannot claim someone does not exist when technology shows exactly where they are, when they were born, and which village they come from,” Namyalo noted. “Today, we have displayed a formatted system ready for action.”

Namyalo added that the new system will also be used to verify information on government programmes such as PDM, Emyooga, markets, and service delivery.

“People need facts, not manufactured lies,” she said. “Now we can speak factual sense digitally and verbally.”

She stressed that while mobilizing large crowds is easy, converting them into actual votes requires structure, alertness, and a coordinated protection mechanism precisely what the system is built to deliver.

Security Chiefs Warn Vote Protectors: “Don’t Go For Lunch On Polling Day”

Nakawa District Internal Security Officer (DISO) Lt. Moses Tashobya delivered a no-nonsense warning to coordinators, urging them to remain glued to their polling stations on election day.

“If you leave your station to go for lunch, what do you think the enemy is doing in those minutes?” he warned. “Even love calls can wait. If you are not ready, hand your papers to Madam.”

He rallied ONC coordinators to work harmoniously with RDCs, DISOs, CAOs, DPCs, and NRM structures, emphasizing unity and patience.

“Our purpose is not to fight each other. It is to lure people to join our run. Be patient like Mzee,” he said.

Museveni Gives ONC Full Mandate To Protect His Votes

Senior Presidential Advisor on Special Duties and ONC attaché David Kenneth Mafabi read a written directive from President Museveni himself, assigning ONC full authority to oversee the 2026 vote protection strategy.

Mafabi dismissed claims that ONC would be sidelined as “opportunistic lies fueled by political panic.”

“This message from the National Chairman is clear. The ONC will spearhead the vote protection exercise. No one should mislead you,” he declared, calling the digital system a “historic weapon against rigging.”

With the unveiling of this digital infrastructure, ONC says it is shifting from analogue to a tech-driven model that promises transparency, accountability, and airtight protection of the President’s votes.

Hajjat Namyalo said the structure is now fully operational and is expected to eliminate the chaotic vulnerability that has previously led to disputed tallying and conflicting reports.

“Technology gives us one truth,” she said. “And in 2026, that truth will protect Museveni’s win.”
