”Presidential Dreamers Will Wait For Long”-Says Namyalo As Museveni Kicks Off Preparations For 2026 Elections

By Frank Kamuntu

Manager of Office of the National Chairman Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo has assured Ugandans that HE Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is already warming up to bounce back on the ballot for the 2026 presidential battle.

The proud chief muzzukulu revealed the above today at NRM Secretariat, Kyadondo where a section of bazzukulu and party leaders from various districts had gathered for training before kicking off registration of NRM members countrywide but also to organize for tomorrow’s launch of update of the party register.

It has already been confirmed the launch will be graced by the party chairman himself Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.

Namyalo noted that those who have been confusing Ugandans that Museveni is soon retiring should just keep in waiting mode for more decades, as the ‘old man’ is not yet ready to hand over power.

”Museveni coming to launch an update of the party register is an indication that he is already preparing for the 2026 elections. It’s therefore undoubtable that he is bouncing back on the ballot soon. Therefore, tell all those political dreamers to sleep and cover themselves, our Jajja is not yet tired,” Namyalo told the press shortly after addressing NRM leaders.

The chief muzukulu rallied the city bazzukulu and those in the neighbouring districts to come in large numbers tomorrow and show love to their president, who is expected to arrive at party headquarters at around midday.

By the time we left the venue, various groups of bazzukulu including boda bodas had started mobilizing themselves to swam on Kampala streets early morning and ride across the city expressing their love for the President.

According to 2016 statistics, NRM had over 13.5 million people registered as official party members with a good number of them being 16 years and above.
