On Sunday, March 17, Tinina was found dead in her bedroom in her house at Brooklyne apartment, in Kileleshwa.
Tinina’s colleagues became suspicious after she failed to report to work, which was unusual, prompting the check at her place only to find her dead.
According to the police report filed at Kileleshwa Police Station, one of her colleagues informed Tinina’s sister Helen Silau Njaga about the incident.
When the sister arrived, she called emergency medical services, but the paramedics confirmed that she was already dead.
“On arrival at the scene, the sister called in the assistance of emergency medical services, whereby the paramedics confirmed that the body was already lifeless,” the police report read.
After processing the scene, police from Kileleshwa Police Station stated that there were no physical injuries on Tinina’s body.
The body was moved to Umash Funeral Home awaiting autopsy to establish the cause of her death.
“The scene was visited by stapol and duty officer Kileleshwa, Kilimani Q10, and SOCC standby Nairobi processed it. No physical injuries were found on the body, which was moved to Umash morgue for preservation, awaiting autopsy,” the report added.
Still on the late Rita Tinina..
