HE Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has this afternoon retired five army generals in a retirement ceremony held at State House Entebbe.
The five who are all at the rank of General are; Fred Tolit, Eugene Ssebugwawo, Emmanuel Rwashande, Jesse Kamunwanire, and Max Gumisiriza.
In his message, Museveni urged them to use the peace they have created and engage in wealth creation.
”I was happy to attend the retirement ceremony of army Generals Fred Tolit, Eugene Ssebugwawo, Emmanuel Rwashande, Jesse Kamunwanire, and Max Gumisiriza. These officers, and the others before them, can now retire in a time of peace, free from the internal conflicts that plagued armies before the NRA. Their retirement signifies a transition to peace, with the eradication of the culture of division (politics of Identity) due to the stability provided by the NRM’s strong ideology,’ said Museveni adding;
”I extend my gratitude to these retiring generals for their dedicated service and commitment and wish them good luck as they return to their communities.”
