It’s a squeaky bum time for rivals of tycoon Prosper Tuhaise Karugire who by the look of things, is already a confirmed NRM Chairman for Mbarara district come the 2026 elections.
The philanthropic Chief Executive Officer for Bunga Bet Uganda, Mr. Tuhaise now famously referred to as Honorable, has since rooted massive support from millions of basheshe in Mbarara. His mushrooming popularity has since attracted a swam of top musicians from Kampala to rally behind him, all asserting that no better leader Mbarara can have than Prosper.
Among the top musicians behind Prosper whom we have actually learnt are his closest buddies include; Dr Jose Chameleon, King Michael, Pallaso, Weasel, Zex Bilangilangi among very many others.
The unstoppable and vibrant popularity of Hon Prosper has seen some of his key rivals step down, among them including a one Vincent Ntebenkeine.
Our sources have intimated to us that the above musicians held celebrations on Wednesday to congratulate Ntebenkeine for stepping down from an event that took place at Prosper’s office in Kampala.
The musicians who are also Bunga Bet ambassadors said no one should waste his time competing with Hon Prosper whom they praised for uplifting the well-being of the youths through empowering them.
Mr Prosper has actually on several occasions been taking these musicians to Mbarara to rally support for President Museveni.
”Most of us are always away from these things of politics, but surely this man Prosper has done a lot for us and that’s why we are standing behind him. He has supported most of us and impacted hundreds of upcoming musicians here in Mbarara,” noted one of the musicians, King Michael.
Swift News has learnt that Prosper has not only supported musicians but also been on the frontline in empowering several youths groups, boda boda operators, women groups, farmers and the business community with the aim of kicking poverty out of Mbarara.
In sports, Hon Tuhaise is very instrumental as he continues to engage the youth in sports with a belief that they can be able to transform their lives and those of the people close to them through the promotion of their talents. As a result of this, he started a football club dubbed Bwizibwera United FC which is now one of the top in regional league, and he vows that he must bring this team to the national level.
Prosper has also been flying into the country English Premier League’s top players like former Arsenal’s Emmanuel Eboue to give words of encouragement to Ugandan youths but also to tip them on competitive and professional football.
Now, the highly connected tycoon has on several occasions made it clear that he is coming for the Mbarara district chairman seat to just get an avenue where he can base to massively mobilize for President Museveni.
He says ever since the NRM government came to power in 1986, a lot has been achieved and this explains why the wanainchi have for decades been voting for Museveni, the only tested and proven leader.
”The NRM Mbarara district chairmanship will help me in mobilizing for our beloved President Museveni. As Ugandans, we need to learn how to appreciate people who have transformed our country and Museveni is in the lead,” said Prosper.
He adds, ”therefore, am rallying all Ugandans to join me in rooting support for him so that we can at least reward him another term as a way of thanking him for his mega contribution to our country. Those who want him to retire, kindly think about it in 2031, for now, let’s all agree that he has done a lot, and he deserves a reward and the best reward is sending him back to State House for one more term.”
Prosper is currently the NRM Chairperson Bukiro Town Council & Bukiro Subcounty in Mbarara District. His Bunga Bet company has a presence in 8 African countries and employs hundreds of the youth in Uganda and other countries.
