Renowned businessman Sudhir Ruparelia has renamed Lotis Towers, a prime multi-million dollar property in Kampala, to Arie Towers. This move follows his acquisition of the building through a public auction by dfcu Bank.

The 14-storied upscale building, located at plot 16 MacKinnon road, Nakasero, was previously owned by real estate mogul Samuel Lotigo, who faced financial difficulties. The building is home to prominent firms like Cairo Bank, British American Tobacco, and the Judicial Service Commission.

On May 2, 2024, Sudhir informed tenants of the new arrangements, instructing them to submit signed tenancy agreements and proof of payment to regularize their contracts with the new landlords. Rent and arrears payments will now be made to the new landlords through the bank, with no cash payments allowed.

The renaming marks a new chapter for the property, which has been a prominent fixture in Kampala’s business district. Sudhir’s decision to rebrand the building reflects his vision for the property’s future and his commitment to making a mark in the city’s real estate landscape.

With the new name, Arie Towers, Sudhir aims to reposition the building as a hub for business and commerce, offering a prime location for companies and organizations operating in Kampala.
