On Thursday morning, the Grade One Magistrates’ Court in Matuga convicted and sentenced the Former Amudat district LC5 Chairperson, Francis Kiyonga Adamson, to 23 months and 14 days in jail and a fine of UGX 80M to be paid to Amudat district within six months of completing his sentence.
Kiyonga was charged in 2021 with stealing and selling spare parts of a government vehicle, a double cabin pick-up truck registration number UG 0654, belonging to the Amudat District under the Youth Livelihood Programme.Â
