The ONC Coordinator Rwenzori subregion Mr.Kyalimpa Ausen together with the Bundibugyo district ONC Coordinator Mr. Baligya Juma and the sub-county chairman for Bundingoma, Mr Ntura Vicent yesterday monitored the construction of the Bubandi-Bundingoma road where they discovered several concavities.

The team discovered that;

1. Shoddy works seen on the road

2. The culverts used on the road are broken even before the official handover and completion of the road.

3. No murram was put on the road which the community believes will see the road perishing in just a month.

4. The arc bridge on River Rutobo has had its construction stalled after failure to pay the contractor M/S Riyan Construction Company Limited and has since abandoned the site.

The team has since sent an alarm to the responsible offices asking them to swing into action and save the Ugx400m that was budgeted for this road.

”I request the responsible government offices to swing into action and order these contractors back on the site. This is also part of the corruption that our President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is trying to fight, let’s not let him down,” said Mr Ausen.
